Where is Rush Hour?

What time does Rush Hour open?
Doors open at noon every day. Pool and the bar run until midnight Sunday through Thursday, and until 2AM on Friday and Saturday. The kitchen serves from noon until 10PM most days, and until 1AM on Friday and Saturday.
How many pool tables does Rush Hour have?
Fifteen tournament pool tables from Diamond and Brunswick, in a mix of 7-foot and 9-foot, with Simonis cloth on the Diamond tables. They sit in a dedicated pool room separated from the bar and restaurant by an exposed brick wall.
Does Rush Hour have pool leagues?
Yes. Rush Hour is bringing APA (American Poolplayers Association) and UPL (Universal Pool League) sanctioned league play to its pool room in South Amboy, NJ. Both are handicapped team leagues, so new players and experienced players compete on the same sheet. Divisions, match nights and signups are being finalised — email [email protected] to be told first when the sheets open.
How do I sign up for a pool league at Rush Hour?
League signups are not open yet. APA and UPL divisions, match nights and entry fees are being set now. Email [email protected] with the subject "League interest" to go on the list, and you will hear before signups are announced publicly. Existing teams can bring a full roster, and players without a team will be placed on one.
Do you need a reservation to play pool?
No — Rush Hour does not take table reservations at all. It is first come, first rack: walk in, take any free table, and settle up when you are done. Private hire for a party or a work night can be booked separately.
How much does it cost to play pool at Rush Hour?
Pool is charged per player, per hour, billed by the second with no minimum. Opening rates are $8 per hour in the afternoons (noon to 6PM, regularly $10) and $10 per hour evenings and weekends (regularly $12). An Afternoon Pass is $22 flat for the whole afternoon and covers pool and ping pong.
Does Rush Hour show NFL games?
Yes. There are screens throughout the venue showing NFL, MLB, college sports and fight nights, and every game is on all day on Sundays.
Is Rush Hour open for lunch?
Yes. The kitchen opens at noon every day, so it works for a quick bite on a lunch break as well as for the evening. Ask in-house about lunch specials.
What food does Rush Hour serve?
Pub and sports-bar food from a full kitchen and grill: jumbo wings, tavern and smash burgers, cheesesteak nachos, loaded fries, tacos, quesadillas, personal pizzas, salads, sandwiches and pasta. Plates start at $7.99 and tacos at $3.
Is there a bar?
Yes, a 40-foot wood bar with 12 beers on tap from $4, a full cocktail list and a whiskey selection, on the other side of the brick wall from the pool room.
