Ideas with a pool-hall twist
The 8-Ball
All black, one white circle, a big 8. Ten minutes, zero dollars.
The Pool Shark
A shark costume and a cue. You will win at least one bet.
The Full Rack
Fifteen friends, fifteen numbered tees, one triangle. The group play.
Fast Eddie Felson
Slicked hair, rolled sleeves, a cue case. Paul Newman energy.

Contest rules
- 21 and over. Every contestant must be 21 or older, with a valid photo ID at sign-up. Groups and couples count too: everyone in the entry must be 21+.
- Free to enter. No purchase is needed to enter, vote or win.
- Sign up by 10:00PM with our staff to get your contestant number. One entry per person.
- Groups and couples can enter together as one entry and share the prize.
- One vote per guest. Everyone in the building can vote once. Our staff count the votes, and a staff vote breaks any tie.
- Staff can’t enter. Rush Hour employees and the members of their households aren’t eligible.
- Be here to win. Winners are announced at 11:00PM and must be present to claim their prize.
- Prizes are Rush Hour gift cards: $100 for 1st, $50 for 2nd and $25 for 3rd. They aren’t redeemable for cash.
- Keep it fun. No real or realistic-looking weapons, no costumes that impersonate police or security, and nothing hateful or offensive. Staff may ask you to remove a prop or step out of the contest.
- Masks off for ID. We check ID at the bar, so be ready to lift a mask or show a second ID if your makeup is heavy.
- Photos. By entering you’re happy for us to photograph your costume and share it on our socials.
- Management’s call. Rush Hour can change or end the contest at any time, and our decisions on entries and votes are final.
Good to know
- Do I need to book?
- No. Walk right in. Pool is walk-in as always, and the contest is first come, first entered.
- Do I have to be in costume to come?
- Not at all. Come to watch, cheer and vote. Only contestants need a costume.
- Is the kitchen open?
- Yes. The full kitchen and grill run late, and we’re open until 2AM on Saturday.
